This “simulator” allows to simply visualize the quantification of the ADC, by playing on its characteristics, i.e. on the maximum input voltage and on the number of bits.
The abscise axis, labeled V represents the input voltage and the ordinate axis, labeled N, represents the integer values “seen” by the ADC.

So, you can quantify and directly observe the effects of the number of bits on the measure errors.
