We are now going to speak about digital dimensioning.
During the design steps, it may be interesting to verify the mechanical resistance[1] of the part when under mechanical strain. This check is carried out thanks to calculations by the CAD software on finished elements.
In our case, the central bore is considered as fixed, and effort is applied to each of the five branches.
Some deformation is observed; the areas of constraint, intensified to make them more visible, are in red for the areas under most constraint, and in blue for the areas with less constraint.
Depending on the results obtained, it could be interesting at this point to modify the design in order to reduce the constraints on a particular area of the part.
