Here we can see the low-energy-consumption vehicle and the precise location of the part we need to design.

In this presentation, the numerical chain will be studied in a precise context: we are making a part for the transmission of energy on a low-energy-consumption vehicle.

This is the precise situation:

• On the wheel there is a large-diameter crown^[1] and in the centre a hub^[2],

• These two parts must be joined together so that the mechanical effort is transmitted between the two.

In order to do this, it is necessary to design and develop a part which will be called the « crown adaptor^[3] », visible in the following photo.

This part will then be integrated as part of the transmission to be seen in the third photo with the following components:

• The brake elements^[4] in red,

• The hub,

• The crown adaptor,

• And the crown.
